‘The Seasons of my life’ – local author Diana McClelland launches new book this Thursday.

Local author Diana McClelland will launch her new book ‘The Seasons of my Life’ this Thursday evening in Ballyrashane Presbyterian Church Hall.

Diana tells Causeway Chronicle “The Seasons of my life” was initially  a record of my memoirs which I intended to hand down to my family. However, my publisher had other ideas, and persuaded me to go public, hence the book launch on Thursday evening“.

George Jones, the well known singer and radio presenter,  is presiding and although he has a great story to tell,  Thursday evening December 7, will be my story, commencing at 7.30 p.m,”!

If  memories are not recorded, they are lost for ever. How many of us regret not writing down our life moments or recording a good yarn involving a friend, a neighbour or a relative. Often these memories are lost.

Diana continues:”The Seasons of my Life covers historical  interests of my youth growing up on a farm at Knockaduff  in Aghadowey, my exciting teenage years, through to my marriage to my late husband Norman McClelland in 1968. I  talk of the ups and downs of life and how God saw me through many trials including the death of my husband of 52 years.

“The book also includes the story of  Tullans Holiday Park only a mile south of Coleraine on Newmills Road  which I founded in the late eighties as a diversification project that  has grown steadily over the years.

“I extend a warm welcome to my church family in Ballyrashane, my friends and anyone interested in the book launch, and of course, the opportunity to purchase a signed copy.

“However, I would extend my heartfelt thanks to my family for their steadfast support, not just in writing the book, but in every aspect of family life through the 70s, 80s, and 90s through to the present day.

“Last but not least, I express grateful thanks to George Jones for taking time out of his busy schedule to launch the book, and Ballyrashane Presbyterian Church Committee for making their facilities available on Thursday evening”.

Anyone who knows Diana cannot fail to notice her strong Christain principals, her faith, her passion for her family and for life whatever in may bring. This is a must not miss evening and the opportunity to purchase a must read book.
