Tees breaks 20 minutes at Garvagh parkrun

Garvagh Forest, event 133 – Fifty-four completed the course. Peter Tees (19:12) was the only person to break twenty minutes, recording his fifth first finisher effort from nine visits. Springwell’s Bernadette Quinn (21:24) was the fastest female. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 34.9.

Limavady, event 393 – 58 completed the course. Three people broke twenty minutes. They were: Chris Denton (17:08), Rodney McPhee (19:00), and Brian Moore (19:53) – all Springwell runners. The fastest female for the ninth time in 2024 was Ciara McSherry (20:19), also from the same athletics club. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 43.

Limepark Playing Fields, event eighty-two – Thirty completed the course. Charlotte Forsythe joined the 50 Club, with all her efforts at Armoy. David Smyth (19:04), on his first appearance here, was the only person to break twenty minutes. Springwell’s Trudy Walls (25:42) was the fastest female here for the second time this year. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 47.9.

Portrush, event 547 – 183 completed the course. The following pair achieved milestones, with their Portrush appearances total in brackets: Laurence Andrews 100 (31) Megan Oliver 150 (120) Four males broke twenty minutes, the fastest of whom was Antrim’s Chris Hamilton (19:03). Karla Borland (20:42) was this week’s fastest female. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 209.9.
