Stick by Club plea to fans – Lomas

First off I’d like to send a message to the Coleraine fans. Please stick by the club at this time.

I understand they are frustrated at the performances and results they are seeing at the minute.

We all know this is going to be a difficult season.

But now is the time for cool heads and to stick together and get behind the team.

I also think there needs to be clarity about what is happening with regards the proposed takeover of the club.

Rumours are flying about and supporters want to know what is happening.

Come out and tell everyone where we are at with the sale of the club and put a clear structure in place.

That needs done as soon as possible.

As for Saturday’s game, game management against let us down.

The second and third goals we conceded were shambolic.

We all know we have an injury crisis and I’ve said before Stevie O’Donnell and Josh Carson are badly missed.

We have a lot of technically good players but not enough leaders on the pitch.

By that I don’t mean people just roaring at players. Anyone can do that.

I mean players who can organise their team mates, get them into the right positions.

We don’t have enough vocal organisers. For me that’s a bit of a dying art.

Look at the last two goals we conceded. We are too easy to play against at times.

Unfortunately there weren’t too many positives to take.

It was good to see Ciaran O’Hara score another goal.

He didn’t have his best game but he knows how to finish and that is a nice knack to have!

He is still raw and has a lot to work on regarding his build up play and leading the line.

But that will come and he definitely has a finish in him.

Finally, ahead of the Linfield game on Friday, I’d just like to ask the fans once more to stay calm and support Oran and the team.

As a Coleraine lad and Coleraine fan, I know what a difference your support makes to the team.
