Springwell runners to the fore over weekend parkruns

Garvagh Forest, event 121 – 29 completed the course. The fastest male and female were both Springwell runners. Peter Tees (19:18) was the fastest finisher for the second time from six consistent attempts. Bernie O’Kane (21:42) was also the fastest female for the 25th time, narrowly ahead of the in-form Samantha Doey.

Limavady, event 381 – Forty-six completed the course. The first five finishers were all Springwell runners.  Three gents broke twenty minutes, the fastest of which was John Butcher (18:58), only just ahead of Patrick Gallagher. Ciara McSherry (19:59) was the fastest female for the sixty-third time.

Limepark Playing Fields, event seventy – Forty-six completed the course. Christopher Haire (21:05 course PB) was fastest finisher for the second time from sixteen visits. Young Rose McMullan (26:35) was the fastest female for the second time from sixteen efforts in Armoy.

Portrush, event 534 – 152 completed the course. Jack Preston and Springwell’s Gemma Wray joined the 25 Club. David O’Neill (19:52), also representing Springwell, was the fastest finisher for the fourteenth time from 157 appearances on the beach. Nobody else broke twenty minutes. Laura Watters (23:30) was the fastest female for an impressive 31st time.
