Showgrounds success as Ryan Gurney remembered

Saturday was a special day in the calendar for the players and officials of Glebe Rangers and Balnamore Football Clubs as the played a memorial charity game in memory of the late Ryan Gurney who represented both clubs during his footballing career.

The RG10 Memorial Cup is to honour the memory of Ryan, but also tom raise funds for Turning Point NI, Ballymena, an organisation aiming to reduce the intensity of suicide and self harming behaviours within the area and support for families who have been bereaved by suicide.

Natalie and family, Philip, Jill and family were delighted by the support for the memorial football match in memory of a much missed husband, father, son and brother in Coleraine Showgrounds on Saturday.

A fitting tribute to Ryan, a lifelong footballer who played and managed both Glebe Rangers Reserves and Balnamore Football Clubs.

The family raised funds by holding a raffle at half time with donations received from the following as prizes:

DISCO AND AUCTION

Glebe Rangers held a Disco in the Manor Hotel, Ballymoney on Saturday evening with all admissions going to Turning Point NI.

The family have decided to set up a bonus ball for the NI shirt and lawnmower so this will be organised in the coming weeks.
