Seven games unbeaten for Bannsiders

Its seven games unbeaten now for Coleraine after Saturday’s victory over Glentoran.

Causeway Chronicle’s Michael Anderson caught up with Stephen Lomas for his match day thoughts….

Another decent result and we appear to be gaining momentum at just the right time.

We know it’s going to be Crusaders or Glentoran away in the Play Off semi final.

Not easy I know but I also don’t see anything to fear from either side.

Yes it will be difficult but Coleraine should approach that game when it comes round with great belief.

We look more like an all round team these days.

We are solid at the back now, look more organised and are definitely more physical.

Last week against Cliftonville we were able to grind out a result.

We might not have done that a few months ago and that’s a good trait to have.

I was disappointed for young Aidan Tejada on his debut.

I was looking forward to seeing the young lad. It was a shame he had to go off early through injury.

Hopefully he gets another opportunity soon.

With a few experienced players around them, these post split games are a good chance to introduce the younger players.

Glentoran could have snatched a draw right at the end but that would have been an injustice.

I have to say I thought they were really poor on the day.

Coleraine deserved the win and as I said, I see no reason why they should fear anyone in the big Euro game.
