Portrush parkrun continues to be popular event

Portrush, event 545 – 425 completed the course. The following achieved milestones, with their Portrush appearances total in brackets: Visitor Evan Donnell 50 (1) Mavis Forbes 50 (4) Adam Williamson 50 (17) David Cruickshank 25 (4) Andrew Hayward 25 (2) Andrew Wilson 300 (280) Neale Armstrong 200 (58) David McNeilly (19:37) was the only participant to break twenty minutes. Young Honor Buwalda (23:29) was the fastest female on her first visit, whilst also joining the 25 Club.

Garvagh Forest, event 131 – Forty-nine completed the course. Robyn Doherty joined the 50 Club. Visitor Darren Irwin (18:29) was the only person to break twenty minutes. Springwell’s Cathy Adams (22:30 course PB) was the fastest female.

Limavady, event 391 – Seventy-six completed the course on their ninth birthday occasion. Barney Mullan joined the 25 Club, with all but one of his efforts at this venue. Sharon Earls also joined the 25 Club. Seven people broke twenty minutes, the fastest of whom was the Coleraine-based Chris Denton (17:02). The fastest female was another Springwell runner, Ciara McSherry (19:59).

Limepark Playing Fields, event eighty – 79 completed the course. Callan Shearer joined the 25 Club. Brona Steel, on her first visit, recorded her four hundredth parkrun. Young David McClean (20:07) was the fastest finisher here for the fourth time from seventeen attempts. Fiona Prue (22:51) was this week’s fastest female.
