Parkruns continue to prove their popularity

Garvagh Forest, event 135 – 23 completed the course. Young Conan O’Doherty joined the 50 Club and marked the occasion with a 19:16 course PB. Nobody else broke twenty minutes. Eamonn Quinn also joined the 50 Club. Springwell’s Majella McAteer (25:24) was the fastest female. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 33.2.

Limavady, event 395 – Fifty-two completed the course. Two gents broke twenty minutes. They were: Chris Denton(17:37) and Ryan Kennedy (18:58)- both Springwell runners. Catherine Pinkerton (22:20), from the same running club, was the fastest female. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 45.

Limepark Playing Fields, event eighty-four – Fifty-four completed the course. William McMullan joined the 50 Club. Two visitors broke twenty minutes, each recording a course PB: Lagan Valley’s Keith Dawson (18:50) and Ballydrain’s Richard McAlpin (19:32). Springwell’s Fiona Prue (21:15) was the fastest female once more. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 45.1.

Portrush, event 549 – 253 completed the course. The following achieved milestones, with their Portrush appearances total in brackets: William McKnight 250 (244) Bob Stinson 100 (3) Emma Wilson 25 (6) Elaine Montgomery 350 (177) Annadale’s Chris Pollock (19:24 course PB) was the only person to break twenty minutes on soft sand. Laura Watters (23:35) was the fastest female for the eighth time this year. This event’s average turnout for the last ten events is 219.8.
