Only six games survive torrential rain as grounds waterlogged

In what was an horrendous weekend of rain and winds, only six out of the eighteen planned games survived the wet conditions on Saturday.

Hopefully, this weekend will see a vast improvement in ground conditions and more games can be played, especially as the majority of clubs are taking Saturday 23 and December 30 off.

SYMPATHY
The league management committee extend deepest sympathy from everyone within the League and wider football family is extended to Cookstown Olympic and the family of Matthew McGuigan who died suddenly after arriving in Australia. Matthew had played for the Olympic on Saturday, November 18, before setting off on his travels accompanied by his girl-friend. Little did we know he would only be in Australia a couple of days before his sudden death.
