McCann joins backroom staff at the Showgrounds

COLERAINE FC have announced the appointment of Marty McCann as first-team coach..

McCann, a former Bannside, made 84 appearances for the club between 1999 to 2001, joins the backroom staff ahead of the new season.
During McCann’s playing career, he played for Derry City, Cliftonville, Ards, Finn Harps, Omagh Town, Institute and Newry City.

The 51-year-old has worked in a coaching capacity at Derry City, Finn Harps and most recently Cliftonville, where he left the Reds following Paddy McLaughlin’s decision to step down as manager at Solitude.

Paul Owens left the Showgrounds to take over at Limavady United while Trevor McKendry has decided to retire from coaching, McCann will be a welcome addition to The Showgrounds.

Everyone at the Showgrounds welcomes Marty back to the club and wishes him well in his new position.
