Limavady sign Lowry

Limavady United have pulled off something of a coup by signing Stephen Lowry.

The midfielder has agreed a two year deal following his release from Coleraine.

Premiership clubs had expressed interest in the experienced Lowry but he has opted to join the Roesiders.

Manager Paul Owens is understandably delighted to land such a high profile signing.

“Stephen is a huge signing for the club,” said Paul.

“It’s a mark of all the great work that has gone on at this club over the last two years that we can attract a player of Stephen’s calibre.

“I’m fortunate to have both played with and coached Stephen and he is easily the best player I have worked with.

“He is still one of the best midfielders in the country.

“He looks after himself extremely well and sets very high standards.

“There were plenty of offers for Stephen’s signature and we are delighted he has chosen his hometown club to play his football.
