Thousands of visitors made their way to Sandy Bay Playing Fields in Larne today for a spectacular day out in celebration of Armed Forces Day NI 2023!

And what a day out it was! Highlights included a historic 21 Gun Salute to mark the King’s official birthday and an amazing aerial display from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster bomber – plus a flypast by the current RAF P8 Poseidon – much to the delight of everyone below! With performances from the Band of the Royal Irish Regiment, a fantastic military village, interactive & static military displays and an amazing RAF Police Dog Display Team demonstration – plus much, much more – it was a fantastic day out to honour of the Armed Forces community.
