Josh appeals to Coleraine fans

Josh Carson has issued a plea to Coleraine fans ahead of Saturday’s clash with Carrick Rangers.

The popular midfielder has been badly missed of late through injury.

But he is well aware supporters aren’t happy with developments.

“Stay with it and follow us. We need you,” said Josh.

“We can only apologise for what’s been happening in the last few weeks.”

Referring to the fans’ increasing frustrations, Josh added: ” The players understand and recognise this.

“It’s hard and it’s not acceptable 100%.

“Things will change. I believe that and the players in that changing room believe that too.”

Despite dropping into the bottom six after Saturday’s rout at Glentoran, Carson jumped to the defence of under fire manager Oran Kearney.

“The manager picks a team to win a game of football.

“It is us failing him and the staff backing him.”

Certainly a returning Carson – with his drive and commitment – would provide a welcome boost as the Bannsiders attempt to reclaim their place in the top six.
