Having a ‘ball’ at the Royal Court

Fancy dressing up and dancing the night away, whilst helping raise funds for a worthy cause?

Smoke and Mirrors, a masquerade ball, is being staged at the Royal Court Hotel in Portrush on Saturday, March 16.

The event is being organised by Dance to Enhance, a group founded by Emma Graham.

“I formed Dance to Enhance in January 2020 after working with each of the other girls on several different Strictly Come Dancing fundraisers,” explained Emma.

“We decided to form Dance to Enhance as a way to use to dance to help our community around us, by either creating video campaigns or being involved with dance fundraisers.

“Over the past four years, we have raised just over £82,000 by choreographing dance fundraising events such as Strictly Come Dancing for local charities or being involved with local schools holding danceathons for them.

“We held our own cabaret show in June 2022 for Cancer Fund for Children and for Sandelford School,” added Emma.

It was the power of dance that helped Emma through her own cancer diagnosis in February 2000.

The latest fundraising event – Smoke & Mirrors at the Royal Court Hotel – will include a three course meal, raffle, dance performance by Dance to Enhance and then live music by Nora Jane Music.

Tickets can be organised through contacting the group via their Dance to Enhance contact page.
