Familiar tale at Showgrounds

It was a similar tale against Carrick yesterday

We had plenty of the ball but lacked creativity.

And not for the first time we conceded two bad goals – although the second shouldn’t have stood as there was a clear foul on Graham Kelly.

It’s difficult at the minute with so many players coming back after long term injuries.

Stevie O’Donnell, Matthew Shevlin and Josh Carson have all been out injured and it takes time to get up to match speed.

Jack Scott looks to have a bit about him but hasn’t played much and the same applies to Jamie McGonigle.

A couple of weeks further down the line and I think Jamie takes the chance he had.

That was a bit moment in the game.

Defensively we also have to be stronger.

David Cushley and Danny Purkis can be a handful but they should have been stopped, especially for David’s goal.

Glenavon next week is now a massive match.

We have to hope we can get a result from that one, especially with Cliftonville and Linfield up after that.
