North Coast beat Broadway in exciting Cup tie

BALLYRASHANE SUMMER CUP

THE £1,000 Ballyrashane Summer Cup continued on Friday evening with Broadway and North Coast serving up a feast of fantastic football and goals coming as early as the fifth minute.

Broadway took an early lead which was cancelled out minutes later with a 30-yard equaliser from North-Coast.

As the half progressed, North Coast created the better chances and had opportunities to take the lead, but minutes before the half-time whistle, Broadway restored their advantage with a well taken goal to go in at the break 2-1 ahead.

Mid-way through the second half, North Coast equalised from the penalty spot and took the lead shortly afterwards.

With their slight advantage, North Coast shut up shop and saw out the remainder of the half to progress to the semi-finals.

The games was as usual, expertly handled by referee Stephen Kane.
