Ex Coleraine keeper still playing at 80!

Irish League 1974 title winner Michael Guy told fans on Saturday he played his last competitive game aged 66.

Well, another former Coleraine goalkeeper can beat that remarkable feat!

Former goalkeeper Terry Nicholson donned the gloves against recently…at 80 years young!

Nicholson joined the Bannsiders in 1980, signed by Victor Hunter after Vincent Magee suffered a broken leg.

He made 28 appearances in total, debuting against Glentoran in a 2-2 draw at the Oval in October 1980.

His final outing was a 2-0 win at Bangor in March 1981.

He also started for Crusaders and Glenavon and managed the Lurgan club in the 90’s.

Terry played 80 minutes for Donacloney Reserves in their 5-3 win over Lisburn Youth.

Still fresh looking, what an achievement from Terry!
