Difficult decision to make says Josh

Josh Carson has admitted he had a tough decision to make as a new era begins at the Showgrounds.

The popular midfielder was placed on the transfer list on Thursday.

A few hours later came official confirmation that Dean Shiels is the new Head Coach, with Oran Kearney appointed Sporting Director.

Carson has been a key player for the Bannsiders. His displays for Coleraine have made him a firm favourite with the fans, many of whom have voiced their disappointment on social media feeds.

He was a massive favourite with the fans who loved his all action style and commitment to the cause.

But now he is on his way out…with a move to Glenavon mooted.

The Lurgan Blues are also believed to been keen on Davy McDaid.

“It was a difficult decision to consider leaving Coleraine,” said Josh.

“Full time football is something I would love to do.

“However, under the circumstances, I felt it was best to be placed on the transfer list.”

It is a massive blow losing Carson’s services.

But one thing is certain . . . he won’t be short of offers ahead of the new season.
