In June of 2023 Ballywillan Drama Group staged one of their most successful musicals to date, KINKY BOOTS. How do you follow that? Well, this award-winning group are bringing a major revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF to Northern Ireland for sixteen exclusive performances in April 2024.

Last staged by Ballywillan fifteen years ago this spectacular musical event is back to touch people’s hearts and is a show not to be missed by those who love and appreciate the best in musical theatre.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has a rousing score of wonderful melodies, a moving and compelling storyline, colourful characters and evocative sets and costumes. Featuring Jerome Robbin’s original choreography, this inspirational musical with its promise of at least the chance of a new beginning at the end of the story makes it a truly feelgood experience for 21st Century audiences.

Featuring a host of musical theatre talent from across Northern Ireland this new production will transport audiences to the little village of Anatevka where Teyve will tell his timeless story. This will book quickly – so secure your seats as soon as possible. 

Pride & Prejudice – 8th June 2024

After last year’s tour of ‘Sense and Sensibility’ Hotbuckle are back with their unique style of adaptations of classic novels. The virtuoso company have been entertaining audiences for over twelve years with their inventive interpretations of familiar texts. Previous productions have included, Great Expectations, Jane Eyre, Tess of the D’urbervilles, Wuthering Heights, David Copperfield and Les Miserables, as well as Austen’s Persuasion and Emma.

Hotbuckle are renown for their fast -paced, multi-role playing adaptations which cross age and gender traditions, and in their latest offering Hotbuckle invites us to enter the world of The Bennets. From the headstrong Elizabeth Bennet to the proud Mr Darcy, Hotbuckle’s rich characterisations abound in this latest adaptation by skilled writer Adrian Preater. Full of humour and invention, this is story-telling at its finest, as we meet five sisters who deal with marriage, morality and misconceptions in unique Hotbuckle style. This is Jane Austen as you’ve never experienced her before, so, get your tickets and Hotbuckle up, for the carriage ride of your life!

Return to the Regency (or rather, Georgian) in this darkly comic tale of society and the women trapped within it; their struggles, their desires, their temptations and manipulations – and at the vanguard, Lady Susan: charming, scheming, witty, and powerful; taking on society and making it her own.But has she met her match?

Based on Jane Austen’s first full-length work from 1794, and created entirely from letters, the piece is performed by Rebecca Vaughan and directed by Andrew Margerison.Created in collaboration with The Old Town Hall, Hemel Hempstead.
