Coina on top in six-goal thriller

Coina welcomed Heights to Meadowbank for their first encounter of the season and history, which turned out to be a goal packed game.

Coina opened the scoring on the 3rd minute through Striker Tom Quinn who found the ball at the corner of the box with the keeper off his line and had a go which landed into the bottom right of the net. 

Coina Rovers 1-0 Heights

Heights struck back on the 13th minute with a goal through their striker making the sides level 15 minutes into the game.

Coina Rovers 1-1 Heights

Coina then realised they had got a game on their games and stuck back with two goals within the space five minutes from Walshe and Coyle, Walshe converting from a corner with a header to secure a Club first goal and gave Coina the one goal advantage and Coyle finding space at the edge of the box where he could strike the ball hard to defeat the Heights goalkeeper, leaving Coina in a two goal advantage 30 minutes into the half.

Coina Rovers 3-1 Heights

The game stayed in Coina’s favour and seen many chances but they were not to be next in the spotlight as Heights striker pulled another one back leaving the sides at a 1 goal difference with 30 minutes still to be played.

Coina Rovers 3-2 Heights

Coina seen their 4th and final goal through a break in play from substitute Ryan McGuckin who dribbled it down the line and finished it into the bottom left leaving Coina two up with ten minutes remaining.

Coina Rovers 4-2 Heights 

Coina seen out the game with very little threats from Heights which ended in all 3 of the point going to the Coina in a hard hitting and entertaining game.
