Ciara McSherry joins the 100 Club, fastest finisher, and recording a 19:19 course PB

Garvagh Forest, event 112 – 25 completed the course. Michael McKeown joined the 50 Club. Conor Hassan (20:27) was the fastest finisher for the fourth time from nine attempts. Jenny Mullan (28:40) was the fastest female for the second time from seven appearances here.

Limavady, event 373 – 39 completed the course. Today’s event was all about girl power. The fastest three finishers were all female. In reverse order, they were Samantha Doey, Kerrie Anne McIlmoyle, and Springwell’s Ciara McSherry who achieved a triple whammy of joining the 100 Club, being the fastest finisher, and recording a 19:19 course PB. Now that’s just plain showing off! Kirk Reynolds (21:54) was the fastest male for the first time in only his third Limavady outing.

Limepark Playing Fields, event sixty-two – 37 completed the course. Martin Lundy joined the 250 Club. Ballycastle’s Alister Jamison (19:10) was the fastest finisher for the eleventh time from thirteen attempts. Lucy O’Dell (22:12) was the fastest female for the third time from only four visits to Armoy.

Portrush, event 524 – 165 completed the course. Kate McNicholl joined the 50 Club. Another Springwell female, Ciara Toner (already the female course record holder at Limavady) took fifteen seconds off a six-year-old female course record at Portrush with an impressive result of 18:21. Ciara’s efforts were possibly helped by trying to chase after the front running Dean Varley. This North Down gent finished twenty seconds ahead, enabling him to be fastest finisher for the first time here at only the second time of asking.
