Bragging rights go to Ballymoney following derby win over Glebe

Ballymoney United Res. 2 Glebe Rangers Res. 1

Scott Munnis 44′, Callum Munnis 83′ for Ballymoney; John McLean 28′ for Glebe Rangers

Ballymoney United Reserves took on Glebe Rangers Reserves in the local derby at the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre and as you would expect, it was a tight affair throughout.

Played in wet and blustery conditions, it was hard for either team to really play their football. Glebe took the lead on 28 minutes through McLean. Ballymoney kept pressing and finally got their reward when Scott Munnis was upended in the box and duly converted the spot kick just before the break.

Ballymoney came out the second half with the wind at their backs and really took control of the game. Chances came and went and just when it looked like it was going to be

one of those days, Callum Munnis tapped in from close range on 83 minutes with what turned out to be the match winner.
