Ballymoney too strong in battle of the Uniteds

Ballymoney United Res 10 Bushmills United 3

Ballymoney started the game brightly and took the lead after 10 minutes through josh Morrison.

That seemed to settle the team down after not having played for a number of weeks. Not long after that they were two up as Andy Stinson fired in from 18 yards after 15 minutes.

That really lifted the confidence and they extended their lead to three after 26 minutes when Callum Munnis scored.

Bushmills to their credit hit straight back and scored a minute later to make it 3-1. Ballymoney stepped it up again after that and added two more before half time through Callum Munnis again and Scott Munnis.

Three minutes after the restart, it was six when Josh Morrison scored his secoind. Callum Munnis completed his hat-trick just before the hour from the penalty spot.

With the game all but wrapped up Ballymoney made a lot of changes and one of the subs Ryan Morrow scored after 76 minutes.

Bushmills pulled another one back from the spot before Gareth McLaughlin added a nineth for Ballymomey. Bushmills kept going and scored again before Ryan Morrow got his second at the death.

Full time: Ballymoney United Reserves 10, Bushmills 3. Ballymoney extend best wishes to Bushmills United for the remainder their season.
