As Boyle deal edges closer…Could fan favourite be set for return

Could Ciaron Harkin be set for a return to the Showgrounds?

Rumours are rife that ‘Jackie’, a huge fan favourite, could be returning to Coleraine for a second spell.

The exciting midfielder left the Bannsiders to join Derry City.

His time at the Brandywell has, however, been plagued by injury.

He has twice ruptured his ACL since joining Derry, facing lengthy rehabilitation.

A former Institute player, the 28-year-old spent two seasons at Ballycastle Road.

It is understood Coleraine are also close to sealing a deal for Dylan Boyle.

The 22 year old midfielder has been with Ballymena United since his release from Fleetwood Town.

The Bannsiders are also believed to be on the trail of a Scottish player with Premiership experience last season.

Meanwhile, a player linked recently with Coleraine is staying in Scotland.

Declan Glass was rumoured to be a target but the former Dundee United midfielder has signed a contract with Cove Rangers.
