30 runners complete Garvagh Parkrun

Garvagh Forest, event 108 – Thirty completed the course. Young Ethan Buchanan matched his 21:19 course PB in becoming fastest finisher for the second time in five visits. Another Springwell runner, Judith Buchanan (22:17) was the fastest female finisher for the first time from eight outings in the forest, representing a good morning for Buchanans.

Two Neill sisters, Marian and Ruth, paid a visit from Belfast, en route to completing all the parkrun venues in N.I.

Limavady, event 369 – Forty-three completed the course. The fastest male and female were the same Springwell duo as last week. Chris Denton in a hurry to get to the Northern Ireland match (17:47) and Ciara McSherry (19:51) now have 197 first finishes at Limavady between them. Sandwiched between this dynamic duo this week was Callum Wallace who produced a 19:19 on his parkrun debut! Martin O’Doherty also broke twenty minutes.

Limepark Playing Fields, event 58 – 25 completed the course. Stephen Montgomery (19:20) was the fastest finisher on his first visit here. Meanwhile Kirsten Montgomery completed a double whammy for the Montgomerys and for Glenlough Running Club with a fastest female time of 23:51.

Portrush, event 520 – 139 completed the course, negotiating unfavourable soft sand. Brian Paterson joined the 250 Club. David Barnett joined the 50 Club. Claire Hill, Steven Mitchell and Colm Watters joined the 25 Club. Jason Wilson of Ballymena Runners (20:32) was the fastest finisher for the third consecutive week.

Laura Watters (23:14) representing the Midweek Muppets, was the fastest female for the second time in three weeks.
