Heights unlucky on their travels

Heights were on their travels on Saturday with an away trip to the Valley Leisure Centre to face Greencastle Rovers in the second round of the fonaCAB Irish junior Cup. 

The game kicked off in muggy conditions with both teams creating early chances. It was Greencastle Rovers who got the breakthrough in the 17th minute.

The half progressed with the Heights growing in confidence and they bfashioned a couple of half chances with no joy and the half finished 1-0.

Heights made a couple of changes at half time with Zac Mccandless and Graham Maxwell making way for Ryan Keealy and Callum Biggart.

Once again, it was Greencastle who got the early breakthrough in the 50th minute. The Heights were creating chances and got back in the game  from a long throw from Ross Vance and Ryan Keealy getting the final touch.

The Heights pushed hard for the equaliser and should  of added another goal in added time but with no success. An impressive Greencastle Rovers held on to progress into the next round.
